See what a year’s worth of humanitarian aid looks like

So many diapers, so much soap (and more)

It’s rare to reach the end of December and think, “Wow, the past twelve months were easier than I thought they would be!” That trend continued to be true in 2025, when it seemed like every week brought a new mountain to climb.

To anyone out there who suffered hardships this year, we hope you found solace in your friends, family, community.

This year we witnessed how mutual aid can save lives and defend human dignity, even in the most dire circumstances. From Texas to Palestine, we helped communities pull together to protect themselves and help each other. We are fiercely proud of the work we did, and determined to do more still. Our fellow human beings deserve that.

Every person on this planet deserves food and shelter, safety and medicine, dignity and freedom. Here’s how we pursued those goals in 2025:

The Levant Response

Crutches and diapers, sanitary pads and rice, blankets and clean water. These are just a few of the basic necessities that have been in short supply for many people in the region due to Israeli-US cruelty. Despite the most absurd restrictions on humanitarian aid we’ve ever witnessed, we’ve shipped well over a half million dollars of aid to displaced people in Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan.

HRT Harm Reduction Toolkits

Donald Trump thought he could erase the trans community in the United States by depriving people of their healthcare. So we organized groups across the country to produce kits full of supplies that would allow trans people to self-administer their own hormone therapy.

US Disaster Preparedness Network

From coast to coast, natural disasters caused by climate change hit the United States hard this year. We coordinated community organizations and mutual aid collectives to deliver the kind of swift, needs-focused relief that the Trump Administration refused to provide to people.

European Refugee Support

Strengthening supply chains and navigating government bureaucracy to avoid surprise fees might not be sexy. (In fact, it’s definitely not.) But this work also enabled many of our partners in Europe to survive a brutal year and continue serving people on the move, despite the hostile environment.

Some words of thanks for our partners

Distribute Aid didn’t do any of this work alone. Each of our projects was the cumulative effort of many brilliant, dedicated people and organizations. We’re so grateful for their time, talent, and expertise. They inspire us to believe that a better world is possible.

Support Distribute Aid

In 2026, we’ll continue our fight for human dignity. If you think that’s a cause worth supporting, we’d be grateful for your donation.
